Ladies. Remember the times, when we all once gushed over the looks that Carrie and the girls pulled off and imagined if we could ever live in their shoes. Like literally. And strut in 'em heels just like Carrie.

When cosmopolitan became everyone's favorite cocktail (Mind the drinking age) & Vogue became a magazine to notice at every book stand. And Manolo Blahnik? I'm sorry but I really heard the brand for the first time in my life, courtesy- Sex and the city.

Decades ahead, we now live in a world of Tik-Tok, instagram & inspired fashion. Where everyone is dandy, chic and fabulous. Simple, sexy & everything between; name any kind, fashion is so easily available online with one simple click.

And with that come a few timeless trends from the show that can still get us all carrie-d away. Every single time.

- Sun-dresses are fun dresses. Pastels or bright. Take your pick, but

don’t miss a hat, purse or maybe an oversized belt.

- Mix Business with pleasure. Suit up in stripes, floral or prints. It's a subtle art of mixing prints and patterns.

Pair it up with sneakers for casual meet-ups or nice kitten heels for formal meetings.

Or over-the-shoulder jackets or blazer to transform your party dresses into formals back to the after-party appropriate. Keep a check on the color palette and you're good to go.

- Get that bling right with the shiny chunks. Don't you agree on how oversized Faux pearls are so under-rated. They fit in our Indian wardrobe seamlessly. But,

the time now is to go bold & wear a lot of them not just on Indian attires but may be on your LBD or Denim or may be, may be on a pale color jumpsuit/dress for that flirtatious look.

- Working from home? It's okay to follow an uber-trendy dressing sense at home too.

Comfy Kimonos, Ponchos or a tasteful shirt dress. And I couldn't help but wonder, aren't these good enough for work zoom meeting, be it at home or at a café. Well, you damn know I'm right.

- Fairy-Tale Tulle with T-shirts could really be a Legit style for bachelorette parties or similar low-key yet high-spirited events.

BTW organza sarees will be a second best if you wear them like a lehenga or dhoti under a sequined crop shirt or tee.

- Oh-So-Perfect Parisian Lehenga, that we're ready to spend our entire year's salary on.

The Larger than life Evening Gown from Paris can give us endless fashion ideas for any upcoming weddings to attend. The trick is layers of fabric. Enough said?

- Lastly, when in doubt, Accessorize. A lot! coz accessories are never too extra. Trust me. I've lived my entire college,

also recognized by that 'cool locket', 'did you see her kitten earrings', 'choker on a jeans,? looks nice' girl, and so on.

It may feel strange in the beginning for you, but roll that pretty bandana up your arm, wrist or ankle. Wear feathery lacey hair clips or sparkling brooch. Layer nicely.

Who cares if Carrie hated scrunchies, it made an appearance in the show & satin scrunchies are definitely trending now.

If you're up for it, just find your comfort zone and go overboard with them.

And…Just like that…You Make your own fashion statement!

Top 2 Effective DIY Herbal Hair Oils for stronger hair

Hello ladies,

I remember having really great hair back in childhood (thanks to mom) but soon post graduation the hair quality went super-down. Rough and frizzy. Could've been many reasons or more, such as frequent relocation, change in environment & water, insufficient care unlike my mother did, food habit and lifestyle. And the saddest part was- hair-fall. Every year, especially in rainy season. Those times, I'd terrible hair fall and nothing helped to stop it.

TBH, the time we're in, there are many things unavoidable like going out under the crazy sun, eating outside (even if it's once in a while, it's slow poison), consumption of chemically treated vegetables (what can you do?)
So I researched. Enough about what all could help save my hair, healthy and super strong. I've got wavy normal-to-dry hair in an avergae silky texture.
Finally, after going through countless articles, videos, vlogs, blogs and various Nani-Dadi recipes, I tried and figured what works best on my hair. So here are a few herbal/vegan solutions to try out on your hairs that worked pretty awesome on me and may be some of these work for you.

So in this DIY post, I'm going to share some of the tried and tested hair oils for healthy hair and the best part is, you don't need lot many ingredients. These are easily available at grocery stores, chemist shops and community/home gardens near you.

♢- Hair oil
You can find plenty of home made hair oils with tons of herbal ingredients. At times it difficult to find all ingredients. Hence the fool-proof remedy that I've has only two ingredients. Extra Virgin coconut oil and fresh curry leaves. You may add some methi dana (Fenugreek seeds) while making it.

Recipe 1- Curry Leaves Coconut Hair Oil
Take about 2 fistful of fresh curry leaves (wash and pat dry with towel or paper to completely dry off the water).
Put leaves into a vessel and pour 300ml extra-virgin coconut oil.
You can also add 2 tsp. methi dana powder.
Put the vessel on medium flame for about 2-3 minutes and then turn the heat on high flame till the leaves are fully submerged and turn completely dark but burnt. (about 3-4 minutes)
Be careful while handling this as the hot oil can burn your skin.
Switch off the flame and let it cool.
The color of the oil will be changed to pretty yellowish green.
Once it cools off, transfer it into a plastic or glass bottle and keep it for as long as you want to.
Ohh! btw you can add about 5-7 drops of lavender or peppermint oil for an added smell and properties.

In this curry leaves coconut hair oil you may also add half a diced onion & 2tbsp dry Amla (Indian gooseberry) while cooking. But I like keeping my remedies simple, cause adding to many ingredients doesn't let you know what's working and is best for your hair and what's not. I've been using this hair oil accompanied with onion juice mask since last 15 months and I couldn't be happier with the results. My hair gets better with each apply. So now I know that both curry leaves and extra virgin coconut oils suit my hair and so does onion juice, I can try adding any other ingredient while making another batch and see how it makes a difference.

Recipe 2- Infused Hair Oil
This recipe doesn't need any cooking. All you need is,
2 tbsp of Kalonji powder,
2 tbsp of methi dana powder
200 ml of coconut oil (I only use extra-virgin coconut oil, as I never found parachute coconut oil doing any good for my hair. you can choose whichever kind of coconut oil you'd like).
Mix everything in a glass bottle or glass container (and never ever in plastic bottle).
Put this bottle out in direct exposure to sunlight for at least 7-10 days.
Keep it away from any kind of moisture.
The heat of sun will infuse and bake the ingredients among themselves.

Now you can use this hair oil anytime you want and keep it for as long as you want.
This hair oil works wonder to reduce graying hair, and promotes faster hair growth. This also claims to grown the hair on balding area, which I'm not sure of.

Some Useful Quick Tips
-If using kalonji hair oil, don't use onion masks. You really won't want to overdo stuff and their effect on hair.
-You may also make both the oils and use them alternatively. And while following this, you may also apply any of the onion mask once in two weeks.
-Use a hot towel steam treatment every time you oil hair. You can also cover your head with wet cotton clothes (fold in double) and blow hot air thorugh a hair dryer for a few minutes. This works equally good.
-Hair masks can be used weekly but hair oil should be used every time you wish to wash your hair, hair spa can be done fortnightly-monthly basis your requirement.

I'd reiterate, I prefer the idea of slow and steady care rather than applying too many remedies within short span of time. Roam wasn't built in a day, folks. So have patience, choose wisely, and keep a good gap between these remedies to see good results.
